Taking the next step can be difficult. We tend to get into a rut so easily, and we miss the opportunity. Taking The Next Step is a weekly reminder to take action. Be deliberate about your manhood, and you relationships with your wife and kids. What do you need to do to become more of the man, the husband, the father that you were created to be?
Here is this week’s edition of Take The Next Step!
Take The Next Step!
I just spent a week in Colorado with a few dozen ministers and youth ministers at a retreat called Wilderness (link below). It was an excellent week, and my soul was refreshed by being there and interacting with those guys.
One of the topics that was discussed during the week was the subject of integrity and accountability. As men, we have to have these two elements in our lives, or else we have set ourselves up to fail epically.
We face temptation all the time. If we don’t have a strategy for standing firm and avoiding it, we’re sunk. It’s critical that we establish some integrity and accountability in our lives, for our own sake, and for the sake of our wives and kids.
Do it now. If you need help, shoot me a message. We’ll talk.
From Around The Web
CIY Wilderness – Here is the website for Wilderness, which is hosted by Christ In Youth. It’s an excellent retreat for ministers to go restore their soul for a few days and reconnect with God. Check it out.
Making A Covenant With My Eyes – This is an article I wrote over at JeffRandleman.com about accountability, especially in the area of sexual temptation. It’s worth a read.
Covenant Eyes – One of the ministries I partner with, and greatly benefit from personally, is called Covenant Eyes. It’s an accountability software that helps you protect yourself and your family from harmful influences online. This link leads to my page about them, but from there, you can get to their website easily and see how they can help you be stronger.
