Taking the next step can be difficult. We tend to get into a rut so easily, and we miss the opportunity. Taking The Next Step is a weekly reminder to take action. Be deliberate about your manhood, and you relationships with your wife and kids. What do you need to do to become more of the man, the husband, the father that you were created to be?
Here is this week’s edition of Take The Next Step!
Take The Next Step!
This weekend is Memorial Day weekend. And Monday is Memorial Day in the United States.
This day of remembrance began in 1868, and was initially called Decoration Day. It was established as a day to decorate the graves of those who were killed in the Civil War. After World War I, the observance was expanded to include those who fell in all American wars. Memorial Day was officially declared a national holiday by Congress in 1971, and placed on the last Monday in May.
How much do your kids know about this day? How do you celebrate it with your family? What can you and your wife do to allow the real meaning of this day to sink in a bit better?
In the midst of your weekend celebrations, maybe take the time to remember those who served, and gave their lives for our freedom.
Do it, men!
