Welcome to the Deliberate Dads Podcast!

My hope is that this can be a resource to help and encourage dads from every walk of life to be better dads, to be more deliberate dads.

Dads, your kids need you to be the best dad you can be. Your wife, too, needs you to be the best dad you can be.

Your calling as a dad is one of the most important roles you will ever be given the responsibility to fulfill. My goal is to help you succeed in that.

This episode is a brief introduction and preview of what I hope to accomplish with the DadCast. This is my first ever experience at podcasting, so I’m learning as I go along. In that regard, your patience is appreciated.

Here are a few of my goals for the DadCast. I hope to incorporate several elements into each episode:

• Provide a brief resource for encouragement for dads who are striving to be deliberate.
• Share some great tips and ideas on how to be a great dad.
• Mention an example or two of things you can do with your kids today to show them you love them.
• Online articles and news items that relate to being a great dad.

Each episode will be somewhere around 15 to 20 minutes. That’s enough time to share several thoughts ,ideas, and encouragements, and still be brief enough to not bore you to death. i hope…

Along with each episode, I will post some show notes, if applicable, sharing any resources, books, blogs, or other links I mention in the episode. That will make it easier for you to find what I ‘m talking about.

Once the DadCast is up and running, it will be available here at DeliberateDads, as well as at iTunes, Zune, and other places. If you like it, please rate it and write a brief review. That will help tremendously in getting the word out. Also, share it with other dads who may need to hear some good encouragement occasionally!
